QRP GROUP

QRP-Canada has been on-line since 1995. We have over 250 QRP operators subscribed to the list so far from Canada, Spain,
Germany, Netherlands, Chile, the Falklands, England, Scotland and the United States. Although qrp is our 'core' we talk about
everything that has to do with amateur radio. It is a low noise reflector...and that's nice for everyone.
As the year 2005 came to a close it became necessary to move QRP-Canada as the Great Plains Free Net was closing down. A new
site was located along with new software and is up and running. If you'd like to join us go to:

The annual 40 metre qrp fox hunt, which includes a Team competition, will begin once again in October 2007 and will continue
through to March 2008, along with an 80 mtr fox hunt.
The Fox Hunt Team competition features two beautiful plaques; one for the Team with the most points, sponsored by QRP-Canada,
and one for the Team with the most Clean Sweeps, which is sponsored by the Knightlites. These plaques are presented to the
winning teams each year at the FDIM gathering at the Dayton Hamfest in May.

After having enjoyed the wonderful experience of building my Elecraft K2#2032, I have been operating it on the air ever
since. What a fine rig this is folks! I have put all the options I ordered in and have the audio filter and real-time clock
waiting to be installed...but I'm enjoying operating the K2 so much that I don't know when I'll put those two options in the
rig. If you're contemplating building a K1, a K2, a KX1 or the other delightful goodies from Elecraft, I can only say "Go
for it!"
